Land Rover Fuel filler type 2

This is one of those parts that I thought just finishes off a scale land rover, a fuel filler cap.


I noticed on earlier models, especially the D90 that it had the fuel filler cap between the door and rear wheel arch, plus it was rectangular instead of oval at the top so set about making. For this to fit you need to mark out and cut a slot for this to fit behind, then glue it behind, (I tend to prefer a quick setting epoxy) then add bit of model filler just to smooth the join, and its ready to be painted.

I have included a picture of it on my long wheel base defender which will have twin filler caps to represent twin fuel tanks so one at the back and one between the door and wheel arch, so you can see it in place, and how it looks.

This comes in beige resin ready for you to paint.
